Treatment with radiation is also called radiotherapy. Radiotherapy involves the use of a device that forms particularly high-energy rays. These rays are used to target radiation at specific areas of the body to destroy diseased tissue. Radiation is carried out in such a way that healthy tissue is protected as much as possible.

During your radiotherapy, a specific area of your body was targeted with stronger radiation, the intention being to destroy more diseased tissue at this site.
