Ein oder mehrere Knochen im Bereich Ihres Hüftgelenks waren gebrochen und wurden in einer Operation mit Hilfsmitteln stabilisiert.
Die beiden Hüftgelenke verbinden das Becken mit den Oberschenkel-Knochen. Seitlich am Beckenknochen ist jeweils eine Mulde. Diese Mulde heißt auch Hüftpfanne. In der Hüftpfanne liegt der Hüftkopf. Der Hüftkopf ist das kugelförmige obere Ende vom Oberschenkel-Knochen. Im Bereich des Hüftgelenks können sowohl der Hüftkopf als auch die Hüftpfanne gebrochen sein.
Für die Operation wurde Ihr Hüftgelenk sowohl von vorn als auch von hinten freigelegt. In der Operation wurden die Bruchstücke wieder in ihre normale Stellung gebracht und zusammengefügt. Anschließend wurden die Knochenteile mit speziellen Hilfsmitteln stabilisiert.
Um Knochen oder Knochenteile zu stabilisieren, können verschiedene Hilfsmittel verwendet werden. Diese können beispielsweise aus Metall oder Kunststoff bestehen.
