OPS-Code 5-791.cx:

Repositioning of fracture and luxation: Open repositioning of a simple fracture in the shaft area of a long bone: By transfixation nail: Other

One or more of your bones were broken and were surgically stabilized using devices.

You had an operation to return the parts of the affected bones to their normal position and put them back together. The fracture site was stabilized using one or more long pins inside the bone.

The purpose of the nails is to stabilize the bone from inside. To achieve this, they are inserted into the space inside the bone. The long nails are inserted through bones and join these bones together. Joints, for example, can be temporarily reinforced like this.

Additional indicator
