Aus Ihrer Augenhöhle wurde mit einer Nadel eine Probe entnommen.
Die Augenhöhle ist eine knöcherne Höhle im Gesichts-Schädel. Sie ist trichterförmig und mit Fettgewebe ausgepolstert. In ihr liegt das Auge gut geschützt. Auch die Augenmuskeln, die Tränendrüse und der Sehnerv befinden sich in der Augenhöhle.
Die entnommene Probe kann Gewebe oder Flüssigkeit sein. Man kann sie anschließend im Labor untersuchen.
