Eye examinations: Measurement of intraocular pressure: Day- and night-time measurements over a 24‑hour period
The pressure inside your eye has been measured at different times during the day and at night.
There are two chambers in the front of the eye. A fluid called aqueous humor flows through these chambers. The pressure inside the eye depends on the amount of aqueous humor in the eye. The pressure inside the eye can also vary depending on the time of day and the position of the body.
There are different methods used to measure pressure inside the eye (intraocular pressure). As a rule, a device is brought close to the surface of the eye or placed on there.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
- L: Left
- R: Right
