S35.88: Injury of other blood vessels at abdomen, lower back and pelvis level
You have an injury to a blood vessel in your abdomen and pelvis.
There are many blood vessels in the abdomen. For example, there are blood vessels for the digestive organs, but also for the skin and muscles. There are also many blood vessels in the pelvis. The pelvis is the connecting link between the abdomen and the legs. The blood in the pelvis also flows to the lower back and the legs.
When a blood vessel is damaged, there is usually bleeding. If the bleeding is heavy, blood may collect in the tissue. There may then be some pain. When there is bleeding below the skin, a bruise sometimes forms.
