Complex treatment during early stage rehabilitation: Early stage rehabilitation complex treatment of patients with head and neck tumors: More than 50 units of treatment

You were cared for by medical staff particularly familiar with the treatment of tumors in the head and neck.

The tissue in the body is made up of cells. A tumor disorder involves the cells multiplying more than normal. This results in abnormal or excess tissue forming. A tumor can be benign or malignant.

First you were given a thorough examination. This was to find out the areas where you need help. The treatment was then adapted to meet your needs, with medical staff from different departments working together. This kind of treatment is intended to help the person to speak, chew or swallow better again, for example.

Additional indicator

If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.

  • L: Left
  • R: Right
  • B: Both sides

Further information

Note

Your doctor will assist you with any health-related questions and explain the OPS code to you in a direct consultation if necessary.
