A tube has been inserted into one or more of your abdominal organs.
Among the abdominal organs are the liver, the stomach, the intestines, and the spleen. The aorta also passes through the abdominal cavity.
The tube can be used, for example, to drain any fluid, blood or pus that has collected. The tube is usually inserted into the relevant organ through a small incision in the skin. The tube is connected to a receptacle and it can remain in your body for a few days.
