The liver is an important organ on the top right of the abdomen. For example, it helps with blood clotting and detoxifying the body. Nutrients from food are processed in the liver.

The tube can be used, for example, to drain any fluid, blood or pus that has collected. The tube is usually inserted into the liver through a small incision in the skin. The tube is connected to a receptacle and it can remain in your body for a few days.
