In einer Operation an der Wirbelsäule wurden bei Ihnen benachbarte Wirbel miteinander verbunden.

Die Wirbelsäule besteht aus den einzelnen Wirbeln. Zwischen 2 Wirbeln liegt jeweils eine Bandscheibe. Einen Bereich aus 2 benachbarten Wirbeln nennt man Segment.

Bei Ihnen wurden die Wirbel eines Segments miteinander verbunden und so stabilisiert. Dazu wurden Schrauben verwendet. Die Schrauben hat man in die Wirbel eingebracht.
