One or more of your bones were broken and were surgically stabilized using devices.
You had an operation to return the parts of the affected bones to their normal position and put them back together. The fracture site was then stabilized using one or more plates.
The plate is angled or curved. One part sits on the long, straight section of the humerus. The other part is angled or curved so that it properly fits the shape of the affected bone.
Additional indicator
If necessary, additional letters are appended to OPS codes to indicate which side of the body is affected.
