One or more of your bones were straightened in an operation and stabilized using devices.
The parts of the affected bone(s) were returned to their normal position and put back together. The parts of the bone were then stabilized inside the bone using a long pin.
The purpose of the long pin is to stabilize the bone from the inside. To achieve this, a hole is first drilled into the inside of the bone. The pin is then inserted into the bone.
