Ihnen wurde verändertes Knochen-Gewebe aus einem oder mehreren Finger-Knochen entfernt.

Die Hand besteht aus vielen kleinen Knochen und Gelenken. An der Hand kann man 3 Abschnitte unterscheiden. Die Handwurzel grenzt direkt an den Unterarm. Danach folgen die Mittelhand und anschließend die einzelnen Finger. Der Daumen besteht aus 2 Finger-Knochen. Die übrigen Finger bestehen aus 3 Finger-Knochen.

Bei der Operation wurden die Finger-Knochen vollständig durchtrennt. Anschließend hat man die Finger-Knochen wieder zusammengesetzt.
